This week the IRS began making the economic stimulus payments through direct deposit.
If you filed a Federal Tax Return in 2018 or 2019 and received your tax refund via direct deposit, your stimulus payment will be deposited directly to your bank account the IRS has on file.
If you filed a Federal Tax Return in 2018 or 2019 but have not set up direct deposit with the IRS, you can submit your direct deposit information to the IRS now to get your Economic Impact Payment deposited directly into your bank account. If you don’t usually file a tax return, you can submit your information to the IRS to get the Economic Impact Payment. Click “Get Started” through the following link: https://www.freefilefillableforms.com/#/fd/EconomicImpactPayment
Additionally, we will ensure that stimulus payments are credited to your account the day in which they are received. These economic payments are to benefit you, our customer, which is why you will never see us using any of the proceeds to satisfy debt obligations. The full amount of these payments will be added directly to your current available deposit account balance in order for you to choose how you would like to use it.
